   Gladys Lavonne Batdorf went to be with the Lord Tuesday, May 26, 2026 surrounded by the love of her family at her daughters home in Remer.  She was born July 20, 1932 to Henry and Alma (Bendorf) Thomas.  Gladys married the love of her life, Roger Batdorf, on July 27, 1950.  They were married 60 years until Roger passed away in December 2010.

   She is preceded in death by her parents, loving husband Roger Batdorf, daughter Pamela Hooper, 3 brothers and 2 sisters.

   She is survived by daughters Gail Ford of Remer and Kerri Jo Bunker of Bovey; granddaughter Rachel Wersal; grandsons Brian Hooper, Craig Hooper, Adam Bunker, and Mikey Bunker; great-granddaughters Carlee Wersal, Jenna Wersal, and Ainsley Bunker, great-grandson Hawkeye Bunker, and many good friends including Marlene Johnson, a close friend who helped Gladys and family tremendously in the past few years and through this difficult time.  

   Gladys chose for her body to be bequeathed to the University of Minnesota Bequest Program for medical education and research.  There will not be a service at this time.
