Oct. 6, 1921
A dill pickle and salting station is to be put in Remer by the J. E. Barr Pickling and Preserving Company and is selling stock to Remer citizens.
Mr. Frank Marshall and Miss Isabelle Paper were married on October 5th at the law office of DeLury & Whitney in Walker. They will make their home in Onigum.
Church services are held regularly at the John Vangen home while the ground has been leveled, and foundation work on the new church will start next week.

Oct. 4, 1946
The Hiway Trading Post in Hackensack has been sold by Mr. F. J. McClintock to Mr. and Mrs. Ed Nelson of Waterloo, Iowa.
John Whitted, a pioneer in the Wabedo area, died last Friday at his home and is buried in the Wabedo cemetery.
George Bonnick and Ashley Anderson are cutting logs near Bena.

Sept. 30, 1971
Marvin and Basil Lilyquist returned from their moose hunting trip to Canada with two bull moose they shot during the opening day of hunting.
Jim Hand arrived from Illinois to make his permanent home on Coffin Lake. He is employed at the Forestry Station at Remer.
Mrs. Louis Pintok has moved to make her home in the Remer area.

The Minnesota Department of Natural Resources warns duck hunters that trumpeter swans are present throughout our area and are a protected species.
Dale and Lillian Curphy, active members of the Longville YAH Club, have recently re-retired to Iowa.
Debbie Dollins, daughter of Tom and Kathy Dollins of Longville, has been named the female runner-of-the-week for September 16-21.
