Pop-Up Pantry Tues. Aug. 10 in Longville

   A pop-up pantry will take place at the Longville Food Shelf (back lot) on Tuesday, Aug. 10 from 9:45 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. or until the food is gone.

Roadwork begins on Hwy. 84 Pine River to Longville

   BAXTER, Minn. — Motorists to encounter lane closures and short-term delays on Highway 84, between Indian Trail Lane in Pine River and Cass County Road 7 in Longville, as roadwork began Monday, July 26.

Hwy. 200 detour goes into effect July 26

   A detour of Hwy. 200 from the “Y” junction of Hwys. 200 and 371 in Walker to Hwy. 84 north of Longville went into effect July 26th through Aug. 8.

Starry stonewort confirmed in Leech Lake

   The Minnesota Department of Natural Resources has confirmed the invasive algae starry stonewort in Leech Lake.

Northland School Board: Outdoor Classrooms Closer to Reality

   Brandon Otway presented the early childhood outdoor classroom at the regular school board meeting held Thurs., July 15. Otway has been working on the plans and layout of this classroom for the past few years with construction to hopefully begin this fall.

Longville Area Community Foundation awards scholarships
