Longville Area Community Foundation awards scholarships

Last month the Longville Area Community Foundation awarded scholarship funding to a record number of area students. Education is a priority initiative for the Foundation and one-time scholarships have been available for many years. Two years ago the scholarship policy was enriched, allowing students to receive support for multiple years of post-secondary education. Five graduating seniors and seven continuing scholars submitted the necessary applications, essays, references, and grade information. The Foundation awarded a total of twelve $500 scholarships.

Scholarships are considered for students who live in the following Cass County townships: Woodrow, Wabedo, Kego, Pine Lake, Inguadona, Trelipe, Thunder Lake, Rogers, Boy Lake, and the City of Longville. Scholarship awards may range from $100 to $500 and students may re-apply three times for a total of four years’ maximum awards.
