The Longville Area Community Foundation will hold its annual family picnic from 5 to 7 p.m., on Thursday, July 22, at the Russ Nyvall Memorial BallField on Co. Rd. 125, off Co. Rd. 5, west of Longville. The event is open to the public.
KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Thomas J. Tradewell, Sr., national commander of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, has announced the presentation of a Diamond Jubilee Award citation to VFW Post 772 in Longville. The Post celebrates its 75th anniversary on July 28, 2010.
