Hackensack Lending Library - the last hurrah for the 2021 season
Hackensack Lending Library volunteers gathered for a Last Hurrah for the 2021 season at the Hackensack Community Center. This summer the library greeted 2,229 visitors who checked out 1,747 books and volunteers worked 343 hours.

Zebra mussels confirmed in Woman Lake
The Minnesota Department of Natural Resources has confirmed a report of a zebra mussel in Woman Lake, near Longville in Cass County. Girl Lake will also be added to the infested waters list, because it is downstream of and closely connected to Woman Lake.
Statewide youth deer season returns Oct. 21-24
Minnesota’s youth deer season will continue statewide for its third year, starting Thursday, Oct. 21, through Sunday, Oct. 24.
