Impactful pair named 4th of July Grand Marshals by friends and neighbors

Univ. of Wisconsin-Eau Claire 2021 Spring Dean’s List

   Micah Link, Longville, was named to the 2021 spring semester Dean’s List at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. 

University of Alabama 2021 Spring Dean’s List

   Emma Barchus of Backus, was named to the spring semester Dean’s List and Torry Hirschey of Backus, was named to the President’s List at the University of Alabama.

Summer Teddy Bear Workshops at the Longville Library

   The Margaret Welch Memorial Library in Longville will be offering six teddy bear workshops for kids this summer. Reading Colors Your World is the summer theme at the library and the Longville library has lots of colorful bears to go with it. 

Remains of Missing Person Located

   Cass County Sheriff Tom Burch reports that on June 7th 2021 at 3:20 PM, the Cass County Sheriff’s Office received a report that a survey crew had located human remains in a heavily wooded area of Blind Lake Township, rural Cass County, MN.
