   Hear the husband of an impaired driving victim tell his personal story of how the incident forever changed his family’s life at Enough Tragedy on Tuesday, June 29, at 6 p.m. in Crosby-Ironton Secondary School’s Mayberry Auditorium.

High fire danger brings restrictions to north-central counties

   To help ensure public safety and protect natural resources, the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources is activating burning restrictions beginning 12:01 a.m. Friday for the southern and eastern portions of Beltrami county, and all of Cass, Crow Wing, Hubbard, Itasca, Morrison, Todd and Wadena counties.

Experimental early teal season in place, shooting hours extended for 2021 hunt

   Hunters have a new opportunity to harvest up to six teal during an experimental five-day early teal season and shooting hours will continue until sunset rather than ending at 4 p.m. during the first portion of Minnesota’s waterfowl hunting season.

Drug investigation results in arrest, drugs seized

   Cass County Sheriff Tom Burch reports that on June 15, 2021, pursuant to an ongoing investigation into the sales and use of drugs, the Cass County Sheriff’s Office and the Crow Wing County LADID Task Force conducted a search warrant at a residence in Sylvan Township, rural Pillager, MN.
