To Woodrow Township Residents via letter to the editor:  We live in a Township that has nearly 40 miles of gravel road maintained by the Township and many more miles of gravel road that the Township does not maintain.

   After reading Mr. Melby’s recent letter arguing for the use of road salt on township roads I find a response is necessary.

   I have received emails and spoken comments from people in the Township about Mr. Melby’s letter in the August 23, 2022 of the Pine Cone Press-Citizen on the topic of calcium chloride.
