LETTER TO THE EDITOR
Reduce, Reuse and Recycle
The Woodrow Township “site for a Cass County recycling area” is a great success. Many thanks to all the hard work and effort of the permanent residents of the area. We would encourage the summer residents of the area to continue the great effort we have put forth. Here are some guidelines Cass County has put out. These are the guidelines for our area which differ from other recycling programs.
The white bins are for clean paper such as newsprint, magazines and such. All but flattened cardboard which goes into the large unconvered bins (nothing else goes in there). The blue bins are for all clean containers such as metal and aluminum cans, glass bottles and jars and only plastic containers marked with a recycling symbol 1 thru 6. throw away caps and lids. Do not put plastic bags, plastic film and food wrap, styrofoam, oil and pesticide containers and or broken plastic products without a recycling symbol into the bins. There are garbage containers to put the plastic bags in but not for trash.
Your diligence makes a huge difference to our recycling efforts.
