S. Whitted and wife and E. Siltman and wife called at the Albright store and H. Siltman home on Sunday in Wabedo township.
Our mail carrier says carrying the mail means most any kind of work in this country. It seems strange that it is necessary for our mail to be brought in over the worst road leading to Longville.
Mr. Fred Anderson was our new teacher during the two weeks of practice teaching at the Herder school. We all liked him fine.

Pat Geary and John Sonju who have been working in California arrived home to Federal Dam this week.
The Blind Lake Farm Bureau met at the Howard Sawyer home Friday. The evening turned into a party for Edwin, who is home on furlough.
Donald, son of Cy Kline, who recently was recuperating from the measles, was taken to the Walker hospital where he was found to have pneumonia.

March 25, 1976
Steven Sawyer, Blind Lake township, went to the basketball tournaments with the Backus team.
Anne McKeig spent Friday night in Longville as the guest of Leslie Johnston and attended Leslie’s birthday party after school.
Several from the Swatara area have stopped to watch the helicopters setting the steel towers for the power lines. They have also seen a large snowy owl by the railroad tracks on 169, and seen a bull moose.

Sean Kaubisch of Hackensack is a member of the Theta Tau Epsilon fraternity at BSU. He is a senior majoring in business administration.
Dylan Bader, a 4th grader at Remer Elementary, has qualified for the Minnesota State Super Shots Competition March 25 at the Target Center in Minneapolis. He is the son of Jerry and Kim Bader of Boy River.
Darcy Faul of Outing is a member of the Student Athlete Advisory Council at BSU. She is a senior majoring in Chemistry and medical technology and is also on the women’s track team.
