Anna Pauline (Quade) Heinz, 90, of St. Paul, passed away peacefully February 15, 2026, with family at her side. She was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Roger.
Anna was born March 31, 1935, in Jeffers, Minnesota, to Herman and Mary Quade. After graduating from Jeffers High School, she trained as a nurse at St. Mary’s School of Nursing and began her career at St. Mary’s Hospital. She married Roger on April 12, 1958, and together they raised six children.
Nursing was truly Anna’s calling. She later returned to the hospital as an operating room nurse in cardiac surgery and, while raising four kids at home, went back to school to earn her bachelor’s degree in nursing.
Anna a summer resident of Longville for over 67 years loved gathering people—neighbors for bridge, friends around the kitchen table, and family at the cabin. Weekends there meant laughter, long talks, and plenty of card games with the grandkids.
Anna will be remembered for her kindness, quiet wisdom, and deep love for family and friends. She will be dearly missed.
