Feb. 4, 1926
Miss Margaret Struss of Federal Dam and Harrel Hutchinson of Remer were married Saturday night at Remer where they will make their home.
James Iverson caught another wolf Sunday morning in Kego. That makes four wolves he as caught so far this winter.
There will be services at the Salem Lutheran Church of Inwood donor on February 14th.

Feb. 2, 1950
Mrs. Cecil Roby and daughter Margaret left Hackensack Sunday for St. Paul where Margaret entered Macalester College.
There will be no school in Longville due to the extreme cold. Tub Godfrey put up ice at Jim Knoles’ Boy Lake resort last Friday.
The Leech Lake Ladies Aid met at the Lloyd Kennedy home at Turtle Lake with Mrs. Kennedy and Mrs. Klaas Bakker as hostesses.

Open house for the new elementary school at Remer will be held Sunday, January 25th from 1 to 4 p.m.
A reward is being offered for information leading to the arrest of the party who damaged the garage of Gary Lugeanbeal with shotgun blasts. The home was also fired at with a high-powered rifle November 5 causing extensive damage to the home.
Vivian Wheeler who attends St. Cloud School of Nursing spent the weekend with her parents, the Ken Wheelers, at Mule Lake.

Myrtle Bullock, 95, died January 24th. She married Virtice Bullock December 24, 1924. She was working as a cook at a road camp. They lived in SD, Colorado and Nebraska and later moved to Days High Landing and bought a dairy farm in 1940. She was Torrey township clerk for 16 years and a long-time member of the Farmers’ Bureau.
The Longville Volunteer Ambulance Service proudly had its first opportunity to utilize their new training facility on January 23rd by hosting an Airbag Safety Course.
Rev. Alan Hendrickson will become the pastor of Bethany Lutheran church of Remer.
