Oct. 22, 1925
A Cass County hunter named Ball went our deer hunting in the fall. For 10 days he’d romp through some desolate swamp, then return home with nothing at all.
The Halloween party at the schoolhouse in Pine Lake Friday evening was well attended.
Mr. and Mrs. George Ruscoe spent Sunday at the Leslie Shepard home hauling and sawing wood.

Oct. 20, 1950
Floyd Tweder, resorter on Boy Lake, announced this week that he will run as a sticker candidate for the office of Cass County Attorney.
Inguadona Lake had its fish population swelled considerably when 34,000 walleye fingerlings were placed there this week by the Longville Rod and Gun Club.
Charles Reeder, seaman, USN of Remer participated in the amphibious landing assault against the Communist Forces on Korea’s west coast.

Oct. 31, 1975
November 1 – Annual Hunters’ Dinner at St. Edwards Church in Longville. All you can eat, $2.75 per adult.
Mr. and Mrs. Hurcil Woodruff went to Minneapolis last Saturday to attend the wedding of their granddaughter, Jill Woodruff to Steve Hannon at Chaska. Jill is the daughter of Rosie Woodruff and the late Wayne Woodruff.
Congratulations to Kevin and Darla Carlson on their marriage on Oct. 25th.
Vane Pattison died Sunday in Texas. He was assistant superintendent of Longville school and also served as Superintendent for a number of years. The lived at Woman Lake.

Linda Joyce Mitchell, 53, died Oct. 23rd. She was born to Tom and Lucy Mitchell. After living in CA, OH, NE, and WA, she returned to Walker in 1992. She was a cook for Headstart in Cass Lake, and also taught at the Bug-O-Nay-Ge-Shig school.
Florence (Ollie) Olive Norman, 85, died Oct. 20th. She married Gilbert Norman in 1936 and together they operated Lakeview Camp on Mule and Blackwater lakes, Longville.
William White, 70, died Oct. 31. He was born in Federal Dam to Peter and Elizabeth White. He entered the US Army and served during WWII. Ramona Losh and William married and lived in Bena and later moved to Federal Dam.
