February 21, 1924
On account of carelessness of another car driver, Cyril Kline broke a wheel on his car and tipped his car over at Wabedo.
Miss Brevik, teacher at the Boe School, gave a Valentine social in Kego. Valentines were sold to the young men for 25 cents each.
A new switchboard has been installed in our central office at the hotel in Longville.

February 18, 1949
Miss Arlene Tabaka is attending the Chevrolet bookkeeping class is Minneapolis this week.
The Lone school located in Wahnena township had their Valentine’s Day party and served lunch that afternoon.
The Trelipe Farm Bureau met at the Remer Village Hall. A basket social and dance followed the meeting.

January 1st opened 1974 with -37 below. Then followed thirteen days of sub-zero temps. When the month ended, we had thirteen inches of snow on the ground.
Mr. and Mrs. Nels Bergley and Oscar Hanson from Turtle Lake township were at Woodrest Nursing Home to see their mother, Anna Hanson on Valentines Day.
Mr. and Mrs. Carl Mostrom of the Owl’s Nest in Hackensack joined Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Witham in Arizona.

Mr. and Mrs. Jerome Pepin of Remer announce the engagement of their daughter, Jana to Lindsey Emerson. She is employed as a social worker at Northland High School.
Shawnee Marie Johnson, a 5 lbs. 15 oz. baby girl was born February 14th to Scott and Teresa Johnson of Longville. Grandparents are Ken and Roberta Smith and Claud and Jeanette Johnson.
Wendy Slagle of Remer has been named a member of the Rotaract Club at Bemidji State U of the year.
