   The holiday season is fast approaching! Thanksgiving is right around the corner. It is that time of year to be with family, old friends, and new friends. It is the season to count our blessings and support each other. Give thanks for this beautiful area we all call home. This is also home for the Longville Area Women of Today. Our members are committed to supporting the Longville Area Community through service and fundraising. 

   This Christmas season the Women of Today will host their 18th  Cookie Walk Bake Sale  at St. Edward Catholic Church in Longville. The event will be held on December 9th at 9:00 am. This event is for folks who either eat cookies, bake cookies, or enjoy doing both! 

   Shoppers will be able to select and purchase their favorite homemade cookies, mini breads, and other decorated holiday treats, all baked by our wonderful volunteer community bakers. Goods are then weighed and priced for check out. Beautiful pre-decorated cookie trays will also be available. They make lovely holidays gifts. Purchase a larger platter for that outdoor bon fire or skating event. Smaller ones will be available for intimate family visits. Preorders are available for trays and assorted goods. We welcome your participation!

   All proceeds support programs for children and adults in the  Longville Area Community. These include the Longville Area Food Shelf, the Longville Skating Rink, educational scholarships, Camp Olson YMCA, domestic abuse programs and coordinating with Northland School for students in need.
