The Longville Area Community Foundation (LACF) recently awarded a grant to the Longville Lakes Arts Alliance (LLAA) in support of their exciting move and expansion. The LLAA has been a presence in the community since 2007, offering art related opportunities to residents and visitors, enriching the local economy and making the world more beautiful in the process. LLAA offers art and craft classes (including free classes for children), music shows, open houses, and sponsors the Longville stop for the Arts off 84 Art Crawl. This grant will support their expansion to a larger space at the previous Lori’s Luvs location. This will allow for larger classes, year ‘round programming opportunities, and a greater variety of class types. For example, one of the new classes will be pottery. Tom Kutschied, LACF Board Member, Barb Anderson, LLAA representative, and Ed Schultz, LACF President are shown with the check. The Longville Area Community Foundation awards grants and scholarships that enhance education, environmental projects, the arts, and health and safety programs. More information about the Foundation is available at www.longvillefoundation.org. Photo submitted.
