Emily Greens Men’s and Women’s Golf League Results


   The first week of league play is in the books, and the weather was wonderful for it!  Attention later arriving snowbirds – leagues are accepting new members and you have not ‘missed’ anything by starting in later in May or even June.  These leagues are set up so it is not an issue to miss a week here or there due to vacation, company, etc. Join a league and have a great time on the golf course.  

   League results for May 8 - 11 are:

   Tuesday Morning (8:30 am) Men’s League- First place team included: Dave Lahti, Dean Kapler, Doug Roberts and Roger Brekken.

   The second place team included: Gregg Gamble, Jerry Booth and Keith Walker.

   The team coming in third included: Roger Hanson, Jerry Hagel, Don Atwater and Ron Ladwig.

   Longest putt on No. 5 this week went to Dean Kapler. Closest to the pin on No. 1 was Pat O’Conner, Mike Oelrich was closest to the pin on No. 3 and closest to the pin on No. 9 was Charlie Peterson.

   Chip ins this week went to Mick Erickson and Bill Dehnert.

   Tuesday Morning  (11 a.m.) Back 9 Scramble - The team taking home first place included: Don Atwater, Dan West and Jim Wick.

   The team coming in second included: Mike Brown, Charlie Peterson and Craig Larson.

   Third place went to the team including: Jerry Booth, Gordon Bobbe and Dave Lahti.

  Wednesday Evening Women’s League - The following ladies walking away as winners: Jane McKinley, Nicole starry, Lisa Poirier, Kathy Pfaff and Marianne Auge.

   Thursday Morning Women’s League - The game of the day “Closest to the pin hole 9” was played with Pattie Townsend walking away as the winner. Jody Peck walked away with the lone chip-in, while Mae Curtis scored the only birdie of the day. 

   League results for May 15 - 18 are:

   Tuesday Morning (8:30 am) Men’s League- First place team included: Kola Slavin, Bill Dehnert, Gordon Bobbe, Mike Brown and Scott Johnson.

   The second place team included: Wayne Seiffert, Gregg Gamble, Bill Wadell and John Geithman.

   The team coming in third included: Jim Wick, Ron Germann, Roger Brekken and Mick Erickson.

   Fourth place team included: Scott Balthazor, Gary Bochman, Lenny Deshayes and Dave Lahti.

   Longest putt on No. 5 this week went to Gary Bochman. Closest to the pin on No. 1 was Pat O’Conner, Keith Patron was closest to the pin on No. 3 and closest to the pin on No. 9 was Tom Rollinson.

   Chip ins this week went to Kola Slavin, Mike Brown and Scott Johnson.

   Tuesday Morning  (11 a.m.) Back 9 Scramble - The team taking home first place included: Lenny Deshayes, Ed Sorgatz, Gary Bachman and Gordon Bobbi.

   There was a three-way tie this week for second between the teams including: Kola Slavin, Bill Dehnert and Roger Hanson AND Dean Kepler, John Geithman, Ron Ladwig and Scott Johnson AND Keith Walker, Bill Wadell, Jim Wick and Jerry Hagel.

  Wednesday Evening Women’s League - The game of the day “Fewest Putts” was played with the following ladies walking away as winners: Becky Guida, Marianne Auge, Patsy Bernhielm and Fay Windshitl. Becky Guida walked away with the lone chip-in.

   Thursday Morning Women’s League - The game of the day “Guess Your Score” was played with the following ladies waling away as winners: Barb Heck, Jodie Peck, Marlene Milles and Mikie Walker.
