Veteran's Day programs to be held Nov. 11 in Hackensack and Remer
In Hackensack, American Legion members will meet at the club at 10:30 a.m., A march to the Memorial to Cass County Veterans Killed In Action, in the City Park will begin at 10:50 a.m.
The program will begin with the Pledge of Allegiance, followed by brief remarks by American Legion Auxiliary Chaplain, Cindi Becker "The Meaning of Veteran's Day," will be presented by American Legion Post Commander, Jim Stauffer. Dave Hoopman, Sons of the American Legion Chaplin, will provide a Veteran's Day reading The program will end with a closing prayer by Stauffer, firing squad gun salute, and the playing of Taps by bugler Al Griggs.[[In-content Ad]]
After the program, Veterans and their guest are invited to enjoy lunch at the Post, served by the Sons of the American Legion. For more information, contact Stauffer at (218) 675-6896.
In Remer, the Veteran's Day program, set to begin at 1:30 p.m., in the Northland High School Gym, will be a celebration to honor all past and present military personnel. They public is invited to attend.
