Summer celebration in Longville Today
The Turtle Town Cruisers will be hosting their 15th annual car show. The show is from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m., in the lot next to the entrance to Patrick's Fine Dining. The event is sponsored by the Longville Lakes Chamber of Commerce. Vintage, classic and custom cars and trucks will be on display for public viewing. Car The public will get the chance to vote on their favorite vehicle. Arrive early and watch the car show entrants cruise into town.
For your shopping and listening pleasure, the Longville Lakes Arts Alliance will sponsor arts, crafts and music, from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m., west of Common Grounds. A variety of artisans, crafters and musicians will showcase their talents, and have their creations available for purchase.[[In-content Ad]]
At 11 a.m., under the tents in the Docksider parking lot, the Longville Volunteer firemen and Firettes will be selling turkey sandwiches with chips and pickles. The firemen's famous turkey sandwiches are available until sold out.
For a little something sweet, just a few feet from the firemen's tent, the Longville Lakes Area Chamber of Commerce will be selling Mary Etta's pies whole or by the slice. Mary Etta's pies are made in the Nisswa area and have become a crowd pleaser at Longville Chamber events. Fruit, cream and pecan pie will be available.
Let's Go Fishing will be giving free boat rides from the City Docks.
Enjoy the start of the summer season in Longville for a day of fun, food and great shopping.
