Sheriff's Dept. reminder: Keep address signs visible in case of emergency

Cass County Sheriff Tom Burch would like to remind residents that it is very important to keep their address signs (commonly called blue numbers) clear of snow and easily visible.

Significant snowfall this winter has lead to large piles of snow along roadsides and driveways, in some instances burying the address signs or making them hard for emergency responders to read. Having the signs visible and easy to read helps ensure proper and timely response from emergency personnel to your residence or business.

Sheriff Burch would like to remind residents that after the initial installation of the address number sign it becomes the property owner's responsibility to maintain the sign and sign post.[[In-content Ad]]
