Resurfacing on Highway 6 in Cass County starts Sept. 20

BAXTER, Minn. - Motorists will encounter intermittent lane closures and traffic directed by flaggers and a pilot car on Highway 6 starting Monday, Sept. 20, when a resurfacing project begins at the bridge in Outing to the west junction of Highway 200 in Remer.

This project also includes guardrail replacement, shoulder work and striping.

When completed motorists will experience a smoother, safer road.

Anderson Brothers Construction of Brainerd is the prime contractor for this $1.49 million roadway improvement project. The project is scheduled to be completed by late October, weather permitting.

During construction and road maintenance work, the Minnesota Department of Transportation urges drivers to:

• Check www.511mn.org or call 511 for up-to-date information about traffic and road conditions.

• Stay alert; expect the unexpected.

• Never enter a road that has been blocked with barriers or cones.

• Plan ahead and expect delays, especially during peak travel times.[[In-content Ad]]
