The Remer Area Chamber of Commerce has $5,000 of the $15,000 needed to get an electronic sign in place.

The chamber announced last year their latest fund-raising effort for the electronic sign, which they hope to have in place in time for the Remer Centennial Harvest Festival celebration, scheduled to take place in mid-August.

The sign will be used to provide information about all community non-profit events.
