'Red Neck' Carnival to benefit Hackensack Clinic
The Pie Throwing event will allow participants to "get even" by tossing pies at faces of well-known area residents.
Sling Shot/Shoot Out Water Wars involves teams of three and promises to be a soaking for all involved.
Other games include: Watermelon Seed Spitting contest, Pie Eating contest, Duck Pond, Polish Horse Shoes and Chicken Poop Guess game. The Fishing Booth, and Coin Toss will require special skills. Prizes will be awarded for all games. Good food, hot off the grill, and cool drinks will be available.
Adding their own flavor to the carnival will be Jay Cline and Wayne Eckberg, who are the famous emcees that directed all activities at the "Polar Plunge," held last winter.
Scenic airplane rides will be available during carnival hours.
Raffle tickets, which will also support the Hackensack Clinic, will be available. First prize for the raffle is a Panasonic 42" televison, second prize is a set of tires, third prize is the VIP room at the Bear Pause Theater, and fourth prize is a set of four Adirondack chairs. Tickets are $5 each and the drawing will be held during the
Annual Hackensack Chainsaw event on Sept 25.
The PAMDA board is made up of local citizens, dedicated to support the St. Joe's Medical clinic in Hackensack, and depend on the area community in that effort. The clinic is committed to providing quality, health care to the area. Like all rural clinics, the Hackensack facility depends on local support during its initial years.
The carnival will take place, rain or shine, in the pavilion area of the park.[[In-content Ad]]
