Photographer Doug Ohman will present his Prairie, Lake, Forest: Minnesota's State Parks program at several Kitchigami Libraries over the next several weeks. Ohman will visit the Longville Library on Tuesday June 7. His presentation will begin at 11:00 am.

Whether you've visited all of Minnesota's State Parks or just a few, you will enjoy this tour of Minnesota's popular state parks. Doug's photographs and the text by Chris Niskanen capture the unique character and history of each park. Prairie, Lake, Forest explores the waterfalls, underground caves, lady slippers, dwarf trout lilies, and cross-country skiing and fishing adventures in alluring photographs and stories.[[In-content Ad]]Doug Ohman is well known as the photographer for the Minnesota Byways series on Minnesota Historical Press. Prairie, Lake, Forest: Minnesota's State Parks is the fifth book in the series that includes Barns of Minnesota, Cabins of Minnesota, Churches of Minnesota, and Courthouses of Minnesota. The sixth book in the Minnesota Byways series, Libraries of Minnesota, is now available.
