National Day of Prayer observances May 5


The 60th Annual National Day of Prayer will take place on Thursday, May 5, 2011. Millions will unite in prayer at thousands of events nationwide, including events in three area communities. This year's theme, "A Mighty Fortress is Our God," is based on the verse from Psalm 91:2 which states: "I will say of the Lord, He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust."

Area events include: In Longville, National Day of Prayer services will be held at noon, on Thursday, May 5, at the Longville Bible Chapel.

Outing will have a morning worship at Narrows Community Church from 8 to 10 a.m. Lunch will be served at the Outing Town Hall at 11 a.m. Prayer services will be held at the Outing Town Hall from noon until 4 p.m. At 7 p.m., a Praise and Worship Service will be held at the Narrows Community Church.

Remer's observation of National Day of Prayer will be at 6:30 p.m., May 5, at the Northland Alliance Church.
