Kitchigami Regional Library System is sponsoring an intermediate Genealogy Workshop, "Ancestry Detectives 201: Immigration, Emigration & Military," at local branch libraries during June. The Longville Library will hold the workshop on Thursday June 23, from 2 to 3:30 p.m.

This intermediate class will focus on immigration, emigration, military records, naturalization records, and periodical and county resources. In addition, suggestions will be given for those interested in finding female ancestors, and for beginning a family search of emigration records in the country of origin.

Ancestry Detectives 201 intermediate class follows the popular introductory class, "Ancestry Detectives 101," which was offered at Kitchigami Libraries last fall and earlier this spring. The class will include a presentation and use of Ancestry Library Edition and other resources on library computers.

It is recommended that those who register for the class have basic knowledge of computer use. The classes are free. Registration is required and space is limited.
