A total of 60 people volunteered to donated blood, and 48 were able to give during Longville's June 28 blood drive. Eight donors gave blood on the automated 2RBC machine which collects two units of red blood cells during the donation, so a total of 56 products were collected.

Irene Miller coordinated the drive, and VFW and Auxiliary Post 772 sponsored the drive, which was held at St. Edwards Catholic Church. Post 772 assisted with recruiting donors, provided refreshments and registered donors.[[In-content Ad]]
