MOORHEAD -The following students have been named to the Minnesota State University Moorhead dean's list in recognition of academic achievement spring semester 2011. Students must maintain a 3.25 or higher grade point average and carry 12 graded credits to qualify for the honor.

MSU Moorhead, with an enrollment of 7,500 students, is a comprehensive university offering 76 undergraduate majors with 141 emphases, 10 pre-professional studies, 13 graduate degree programs and 31 areas of teacher licensure preparation. MSUM is a member of the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities system.

Local students named to the Dean's List include: Kaitlyn Berry, of Walker, Minn., 2008 Walker-Hackensack-Akeley (WHA) High School graduate, majoring in Elementary Inclusive Education and Early Childhood Education.

Cassandra Brausen, Hackensack, Minn., 2007 graduate of Northland High School, Early Childhood Education major.

Shane Bruns, of Walker, a 2007 graduate of WHA High School, majoring in Marketing

Alyssa Felling, of Remer, Minn., 2008 Northland High School graduate, Paralegal major.

Ariel Helling, of Federal Dam, Minn., a 2008 graduate of Deer River High School, majoring in Special Education

Brett Johnson, of Walker, WHA 2008 graduate, with an Art Education major.

Crystal Pound, of Remer, a 2007 Northland High School graduate.

Megan Elizabeth Splichal, of Walker, WHA 2008 graduate, majoring in Social Work
