Lakes and Pines Chapter MDHA Annual Banquet set for Saturday
Lakes and Pines Chapter of MDHA was chartered in 2007, and has become instrumental in supporting youth shooting sports and hunter education programs in northern Cass County. Funds raised at the annual fundraising banquet are used to promote youth outdoor activities, scholarships, local habitat projects and more.[[In-content Ad]]The chapter is proud of the donations they have supplied to support local hunting and shooting sports education programs which include National Archery in the Schools, MDHA youth hunter education, Forkhorn Camps at Deep Portage and youth field days. They provided donations to assist the Northland Schools archery teams compete at state and national tournaments in 2009 and again in 2010.
The Lakes and Pines Chapter is one of 65 MDHA chapters in Minnesota striving to make an impact on Minnesota's outdoor heritage. Since 1996, MDHA's total statewide conservation dollars, equalling more than $10 million, has been spent on wildlife conservation, educational and legislative projects and initiatives. The funds are gained from MDHA's grassroots volunteers and do not inlcude government grants or matching dollars.
