Kids Halloween parties and trick or treating planned for area Saturday and Sunday
On Saturday, Oct. 31, a community "Spooktacular Halloween Extravaganza," will be held from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m., at Camp Olson YMCA, on Co. Rd. 54 near Longville. The evening will include trick or treating and games for the kids. Each costumed child will receive a treat bag, and will be eligible to participate in a variety of games, activities and a cake walk.
The pathways are lighted, but flashlights are encouraged to help navigate the rough terrain.[[In-content Ad]]
The event is free, but items brought to be donated to the Longville Food Shelf would be appreciated. All children must be accompanied by a parent of guardian at all times.
The Spooktacular Halloween Extravaganza is sponsored by Camp Olson YMCA, the Longville Lakes Area Chamber of Commerce, local businesses and service organizations.
In Remer on Sunday, October 31, Remer area merchants invited children in costumes to trick or treat at businesses from 4 until 6 p.m.
Several area businesses will also have Halloween parties. See advertisements on pages 8 and 9.
