WALKER - Cass County Attorney, Christopher Strandlie reports that Arthur Austin-Ellis Evans, age 35, of Hackensack, Minn., has been charged with Criminal Sexual Conduct in the first degree stemming from an offense occurring on or about Feb. 9-10, 2011.

The complaint alleges that Evans sexually assaulted a 13-year-old girl after injecting her with sleeping drugs he stole from his employer. In a recorded, post-Miranda statement to Cass County Investigator Stein on Feb. 10, Evans admitted he drugged and sexually assaulted the girl; that he, in the past, had inappropriately touched many other young girls; and he had photos/videos of some of the incidents.

Evans remains in custody on bail/bond, which was set at his initial court appearance on Feb. 11, 2011. Bail/bond was set at $250,000 without conditions or $200,000 with numerous conditions, including he have no contact with minors, not use or access pornography and not use or access the internet without prior approval of the court. His next court appearance will be an Omnibus Hearing on March 21, 2011.
