Founder of Moondance Jam, Bill Bieloh dead at 51


WALKER - Bill Bieloh, of Walker, founder of the Moondance Jam and Moondance Jammin Country music festivals, held near Walker, died Friday, Sept. 24.

Bieloh started the Jam in 1992, to help promote Moondance riding stable, owned by Bieloh, and his wife Kathy. Moondance Jam's first year, with a few hundred festival-goers present, showcased the talents of local and regional bands.

A message was posted on the Moondance Jam website Friday, it read,

"Our sadness is beyond words. Bill Bieloh passed away in the early morning hours of Friday September 24th. A celebration of his life will be held on Tuesday, September 28th at the Moondance fairgrounds. Please keep his wife Kathy, son Jonathan and daughter Briony in your thoughts and prayers. Service arrangements for Bill are as follows:

Visitation: Monday, September 27, 2010, 5 to 9 p.m. at Hope Lutheran Church in Walker.

Funeral Service: Tuesday, September 28, 2010, 4 p.m. at the Moondance Jam Site.

In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to the Walker Area Community Center or American Heart Association.
