RED WING - Funeral Prearrangement Specialist with Laker Planning, Betsy (Gish) Mahn, of Red Wing, Minn., was recognized April 19, during an awards ceremony in Maui, Hawaii by Funeral Directors Life Insurance Company (FDLIC), headquartered in Abilene, Texas. She and her husband, John were flown to Hawaii for a vacation and awards ceremony where it was announced she was the company's top performing sales professional for 2010.

"Years ago, Betsy determined that she wanted to better her life as a single mother, and she took on this opportunity to learn a new business," said Kris Seale, president and CEO of FDLIC. "Today, she is a valued member of her team; I'm sure she has gone above and beyond what she ever expected during her first interview. In addition to filling the top spot in the company for 2010, Betsy was also inducted into the elite Million Dollar Club, whose members have sold over $1 million in business throughout one calendar year.

"I started in the business 13 years ago, and it is a great honor to be named number one agent with FDLIC," Betsy commented. "The philosophy and integrity of the company and its CEO, Kris Seale, are unmatched by any other company in the industry. I know that when I work with families to plan ahead for funeral expenses, I am offering them the best of the best. I find my job very rewarding and am thankful to all of the families I have served for all of the trust and confidence they have placed in me. The most important part for me in all this is the families I meet with every day. They allow me to be a small part of their lives by sharing their thoughts and life experiences with me, and that is something money can't buy.
