A "Taste of the Olde West" is the theme for the Taste of Longville & Merchant Garage Sale to be held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., Friday, Aug. 6, on Main Street.

Cowboy Tim Marr and sidekick Jan will provide Western music for tasters and shoppers as they enjoy their Olde West grub.

Among the grub being cooked are Prairie Chickens by the Longville Community Church; Cowboy Dogs and Bonanza Brats by the Young At Heart Club; Pulled Pork by the Longvile Area Community Foundation and Library; Barbecued Chicken at the Red Bird Cafe; Chuck Wagon Stew and Mary Etta Pies will be offered by the Chamber of Commerce, Wine & Cheese Tasting will be featured by the Docksider; plus Lucette's Pizza & Pub will offer Walking Tacos.

Longville Merchants will be offering special Garage Sale items during the Taste of Longville.

Great bargains will be offered on discontinued, seasonal and special purchase merchandise. plus some fireworks.

Among those participating in this year's Garage Sale are Longville Ace Hardware, Ron's Do It Best Hardware; Marie Baker's Shirt Shop; Studio 5 on Main; Lori's Luvs; Kelloggs and The One Stop.

It's a day of grub and good bargains as Longville celebrates its 13th Annual Taste of Longville, sponsored by its Chamber of Commerce.[[In-content Ad]]
