HACKENSACK - Cass County authorities report 18 year old Laport man Darrin Michael Darnitz apparently drowned when two boats collided in Ten Mile Lake shortly before midnight Friday.[[In-content Ad]]The victim was ejected from the boat he was operating. His body was recovered from 20 feet of water by divers from the Lakes Area Dive Team.

Chief Deputy Tom Burch reports the cause of the collision remains under investigation with an autopsy scheduled.
