Corps' Crosslake Recreation Area to host free youth fishing derby Aug. 14
host a free youth fishing derby Aug. 14 for youngsters age 14 and younger at
its Crosslake Recreation Area in Crosslake, Minn.
Participants must be at the main office by 8:30 a.m. to register. There will
be educational programs at
9 a.m. followed by fishing at 10 a.m.
The children must be present for the duration of the educational programs and
have an adult present to participate.
All fishing must be done from shore and within park boundaries. Participants
need to bring their own sunscreen and a fishing pole. Local merchants will
provide the prizes and soda pop.
