This year's festival parade has a theme of "Colonel Cobber Goes Country," and will start at 11 a.m., Saturday, Aug. 14.

Line up for the parade will begin at 10 a.m. near the former Backus School.

Participants will drop into place down the street as they arrive with the exception of the Color Guards. They will line up near the parking lot of the former school.

Should you wish to have the parade announcer advise the audience of your participation, please send a brief description of your entry to: Corn Festival Committee, P.O. Box 98, Backus, MN. 56435 by Thursday, Aug. 12. Please include your name, address and phone number should questions arise. There is no advanced registration of fee for participation in this Corn Festival Parade.
