The Chippewa National Forest has announced numerous temporary road closures that began Monday.

The closures are Recovery Act projects to remove small culverts or impoundment structures and replace them with larger culverts to improve aquatic organism passage. Roads will be signed as work reaches each site.

The closures will include: Moccasin Lake Drive NW, Walker; South Six Mile, Deer River; Cuba Hill Road, Walker; Ketchum Road, Walker; Lake 13 Road, Walker; Pike Bay Loop Road, Walker; Six Mile Impoundment Road, Deer River; Hole In Wall Lake Road, Walker; Sucker Bay Impoundment Road, Walker; Amik Lake Spur A, Deer River; and South Boundary Road, Walker.
