Cass County TRIAD - Enhancing senior safety in your community
Cass County TRIAD has welcomed new members and participated in new events, such as the local parades. We have also expanded Cass County's knowledge of TRIAD through presentations and articles like this! TRIAD is always open to new ideas and searching for projects that promote the safety and well-being of our senior citizens.
New TRIAD groups have been formed over the last few years and we cannot thank our law enforcement enough, for without them, TRIAD would not be possible! There's a reason that TRIAD grows and has the "family-like" atmosphere that TRIAD members know and appreciate and that is the commitment of those involved - both law enforcement and members. TRIAD is not just another meeting to attend; it is a way of life. It's the basic goal of wanting seniors to be safe that evolves into a caring about people in general. We all have family or friends or know people whose lives can be enhanced by TRIAD, as a member or because of our projects, and remember, with any luck, we'll be there someday ourselves![[In-content Ad]]
MN TRIAD is also growing and officers have been chosen. A MN TRIAD website is being developed and the MN TRIAD newsletter is now 3 years strong and received by more people than ever. If you would like to receive the MN TRIAD newsletter, you can e-mail [email protected] or contact me at the number below. The MN TRIAD website can be accessed through www.mnsheriffs.org - click on the Sheriffs Star and click on TRIAD. MN TRIAD includes all the TRIAD counties throughout the State of Minnesota.
A goal for the coming year is to continue to make TRIAD stronger in Cass County and also to make MN TRIAD stronger by encouraging the growth of TRIAD groups in other counties. If you have friends and relatives living throughout Minnesota, please consider sharing TRIAD information with them. If there is not a TRIAD in their communities, you can pass along my name and phone number or have them contact Chair Chuck Nettestad at [email protected]. We would love to introduce them to TRIAD!
If you have an interest in sharing a commitment to keeping seniors safer in our communities with others with the same goal, please contact one of the members listed below or come to a meeting on the 3rd Tuesday of every month at the Hackensack Senior Center - Lunch at 12 p.m. and meeting at 1 p.m.
