Bemidji Symphony Orchestra concert & workshop in Longville


The Bemidji Symphony Orchestra will offer a free public concert at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 14 at Salem Lutheran Church in Longville. The concert will feature one of America's best known and best loved pieces of music - Copland's Appalachian Spring - and a new composition by Twin Cities composer Joe Adams called Quiet Landscape, which features tenor Matthew Goinz. Refreshments will be provided by the Friends of the Library.

[[In-content Ad]]Adults and children can also come and meet Adams and join orchestra conductor Dr. Beverly Everett at the Longville library on the same day from 10:00 a.m. until Noon. She will be showing a film and talking about how the insturments in both pieces of music come together to form the music. Questions are welcome!

Kitchigami Regional Library System and the Margaret Welch Memorial Library are proud to present this special concert with funds dedicated by Minnesota's voters for arts and cultural heritage.
