BACKUS - The Backus Lions will be selling fancy, ripe, juicy, huge Colorado peaches on Thursday, Sept. 9, beginning at approximately 8 a.m., in the parking lot at Jim's Off Sale, on the west side of Highway 371 just north of Backus.

Cost is $24 per case, and sold on first-come, first-served basis. No advanced orders are being accepted.

Profits from the peach sale will help the Backus Lions provide for their involvement in the community, including scholarships, food shelves, fire department, first responders, service dog organizations and Peaceful Playgrounds.
