Northwoods Art and Book Festival features Minnesota authors
Don’t miss the 26th Annual Northwoods Art and Book Festival August 14th in Hackensack from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The event will be held in the Hackensack Community Building, Union Congregational Church and along Lake Avenue. Here you will find artists, authors, vendors, food, music, student art displays, children’s art tent and WonderTrek Children’s Museum, an interactive play station for ages 3-10. There’s something for all.

This year more than 30 authors will be selling and signing their books covering a wide variety of genre. Six new authors, Laura Ashwood (Romance and Women’s Fiction), Will Green (Children’s Books), Helen Holder (Children’s Books), Cassie Meyer (Children’s Books), Jacob Moses (Mystery Thriller), JoAn Stevenson (Children’s Books) Susan Stradiotto (Epic Fantasy), and Fox Pointe Publishing, LLP will be joining the Northwoods Arts Council summer line-up.
Two special author presentations are planned for the day. At 11:00 author, singer and songwriter Elisa Korenne, “Hundred Miles to Nowhere An-Unlikely Love Story”, will be in the UCC Sanctuary. The title of her presentation is ”Finding Inspiration and Renewal Where We Are.” Elisa will have her guitar and share some of her original songs as well as her writing experiences. She will be selling and signing her books.
At 1:00 author Julie Jo Larson, “100 Things To Do in the Minnesota Northwoods Before You Die”, will be in the UCC Sanctuary. The tile of her presentation is “Why Not? Writing A Travel Book During a Pandemic.” Julie Jo will be selling and signing her books.
