The Remer Busy Bees 4-H Club meeting for June was held in the new 4-H building.
Flying a Piper Cub plane from Illinois to vacation at Lyon’s Verndale on Girl Lake were Lynn Whitmore and Pat Fitzgerald of Mendota.

The Turtle Lake 4-H Club planted Norway pines around the Chippewa National Forest sign south of Walker on Hwy. 371.

Mr. and Mrs. John Daniels of Remer announce the upcoming marriage of their daughter Sue Ann to Alan Weaver, son of Mr. and Mrs. Don Weaver of Longville.

Parents Corey and Phyllis Wake announce the arrival of Easton Ford Wake, 7 lbs. 4 oz, 20 ½” long. Grandparents are Richard and Kathy Wake and Glen and Janice Campbell and Herb Papenfus.
Rose Neururer has moved to the Bemidji area where she will share a home with her brother-in-law Leroy Campbell. Rose has lived in Federal Dam most of her life. She enjoyed story-telling, including many stories of her family history and of ghosts that she personally encountered at the “Putnam House,” where she lived in Federal Dam.
The DNR urges motorists to watch out for turtles. Spare a turtle on a Minnesota road and you may race it at the Longville turtle races and be a winner.
