Backus American Legion monthly dances return

   Monthly Sunday dances return to the Backus American Legion July 18, when Frankie Lamb’s Frankly Country Band appears from  from 2 to 5 p.m.

   Playing classic country, pop, old time and swing, the band makes its first appearance of the summer that Sunday and then will return for afternoon dances Aug. 15, during the Backus Corn Fest weekend, Sept. 19 and Oct. 17 and New Year’s Eve.
