Time to go ‘Squatching Remer’s Sixth Annual Bigfoot Days July 9 and 10
The legend of Bigfoot has been circulating for nearly sixty years, and Remer has been declared the Home of Bigfoot since 2016!
Join area ‘squatch hunters in celebrating Remer’s Sixth Annual Bigfoot Days, July 9-10.
All evening Friday there will be a beer garden and food at the Depot, a bonfire at the motel and food vendors at the Gazebo & Depot. Beginning at 5 p.m. is the Bigfoot teams and individuals live storytelling also at the Depot. Head over to the Remer Motel at 6 p.m. for the Bigfoot Olympics or check out the live music with Mike Miller at the Remer Muni from 6-9 p.m. At 7 p.m., there will be a mask burning at The Pub followed by music.
Saturday, July 10, kicks off early for Bigfoot 5K participants, with registration starting at 7 a.m. and racing beginning at 9:30 a.m. If racing isn’t for you then head over to the Remer Centennial Library for a pancake breakfast from 8 - 11 a.m. After you eat a hearty breakfast, you can attend the Bigfoot Adult Scavenger Hunt beginning at 11.
12:30 p.m. will kick off the kid’s events with a kid’s scavenger hunt, kids games and a 3-on-3 basketball tournament. While the kids are playing, grab your chair and head over the the City Park Gazebo listen to Vern Bishop play some Ol’ Country music from 1 - 3 p.m. At 2:30 p.m. the kids Bigfoot calling contest begins with the Bigfoot teams and individuals live storytelling following shortly after at 2:35 p.m.
Beginning at 4 p.m. will be the judging of the Bigfoot BBQ contest. Shortly after at 4:30 p.m., there will be Bigfoot bingo at the Depot. Don’t miss out on the Bigfoot meat raffle, which begins at 6 p.m. at the Remer Muni with tickets going on sale at 5 p.m. Stick around until 7 p.m. for live music at The Pub and finish off your day with an adult Bigfoot calling contest at 10 p.m. Don’t forget about the Flea Market on the west side of town all day!
