Sept. 1, 1921
A wedding at the Indian Agency took place on August 24, when Rose Amanda Morrison became the wife of Albert Taylor. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Bongo.
Ruth and Audrey Emery of Pine Lake went to the State San on Saturday where they are employed.
Mr. and Mrs. U. V. Norton of Cyphers are the proud parents of a daughter born at the Walker Hospital on August 29th.

Aug. 30, 1946
John Tabaka ran over a large bear near Lloyd Showalter’s farm. He did not find the bear but tracked him into a deep swamp.
Don Craig of Jenkins moved here and is a Longville school faculty member.
Gene Carver died of a heart attack eight days after he was discharged from the Navy.

Aug. 26, 1971
Robert J. Crabb Jr of Wayzata won the Moxness Cup in the annual Ten Mile Lake Sailboat Regatta on August 21st and 22nd.
Donnabelle Gunderson, daughter of Earnest V. Johnson of Remer, received a Bachelor of Science degree with a major in Elementary Education. She will be teaching kindergarten this fall in Longville.
The Rosebud Birthday Club at Federal Dam met Wednesday at Mr. Alex Wake’s home. They enjoyed a delicious lunch.

The 49th Annual Remer Harvest Festival parade was held August 10th in Remer. Grand Marshals were George and Jane Donovan.
The Longville Lions donated a Family Resource Center by purchasing the unit and donating it to the Longville Area Family Center.
GMT Photo-Portrait Studio and Gallery opened recently in Walker. Mike and Geri Peterson celebrated their Grand Opening. Mike has won national awards for his wildlife and nature photography.
