Aug. 25, 1921
L. M. Spain of Longville operates Wi-Wi-Ta Resort and has been a resident of Cass County for the past 10 years.
Mr. and Mrs. Avery, and Ruth and Audrey Avery were callers Sunday at the Orville Mills home.
Among those from Longville attending a dance at Remer were the Leo Jordans, the R.A. Manders, Misses Helen and Edith Ford, Mrs. LaSarge, George Ford, Ralph Craig, and Glen Devore.

Aug. 23, 1946
Three marauding bears terrorized Blind Lake township this week killing twelve sheep and other livestock and tore a fence to pieces. Hunters killed all three bears.
Al Lewiston was the first one to land a boat at the new Legion dock at Boy River.
The E. H. Atwood, Mrs. Gunderson and Mrs. Gilmore returned to Brevik from picking blueberries for a few days at International Falls.

Aug. 19, 1971
Ground-Breaking ceremonies were held on August 14th at the site of the new marina which will soon be under construction at Onigum.
Mr. and Mrs. Tom Breitreitz of Maryland are guests at the parental Alex Barton home before Tom is transferred to Kansas.
Howard Sawyer and Mrs. Hildebrand and children went to St. Cloud Friday and took Carl to the doctor.

The VFW Post 772 & Auxiliary will have their annual picnic at Mable Lake on August 18th.
Thank you to everyone who supported the Longville Volunteer Fire Department First Annual Dance and “thank you” for all the business contributions.
Longville Dogfish Contest winners were Daniel Jenstad and his brother who caught a 6 lb 3 oz and a 6 lb 2oz fish in Lake Inguadona.
