LongBow Women’s Golf League results

  On Wednesday, August 18, the LongBow Ladies Golf League had 22 ladies join in for the third and final qualifying round for the league championship. Results will be announced at the year-end event in September. 

  The ladies played the game of the day, “Stableford” with the following walking away as winners.

   In first place, with a 52.33, was the team of Chris Barnes, Mary Hagelie and Dianne Larson.

  The second place team, with a 51.25 determined by a tiebreaker on the first handicap hole, included Karen Cochran, Laura Mayer, Kathy Newton and Kathy Severson. 

   Third place, also with a 51.25, was the team of Kathy Green, Cindy Gross, Suzie Mandsager and Laura Varner.

   Chris Barnes captured low gross with her 87 while Laura Mayer took home low net with her 67. 

   There were no chip-ins this week, but there were five birdies and ten ladies scoring under 100. The ladies walking away with a birdie were Chris Barnes, No. 8; Kathy Green, No. 6; Connie Halley, No. 2; Dianne Larson, No. 5 and Suzie Mandsager, No. 2.
