Aug. 11, 1921
Misses Koenig, Culhane, Murray and McIntosh Sundayed at Sandy Point on Long Lake near Longville.
Lack of rain is causing the raspberries to dry up, and the blackberries will be about half a crop.
J. C. Huffman of Boy River was a business visitor in Walker Tuesday.
75 Years Ago
Aug. 9, 1946
Longville has two cases of Polio; Bob Proper, an adult; and Merle Ford, son of Mr. & Mrs. Riley Ford.
Quite a few people from Federal Dam attended the dance at “Tony’s” on Saturday night.
Mrs. Engelhart of Longville received a pair of wooden shoes from Holland from a woman who regularly visits the grave of her son George, a fatality of the war.

Aug. 5, 1971
Frank Condon has moved to Longville, and Mert Lego has purchased his home at Federal Dam.
Guy Denny of Bena died July 30th. He had owned and operated Denny’s Resort since 1932.
Mr. and Mrs. Art Pearson are developing property that they purchased on Lower Trelipe Lake.

A “Thank You” to Barb Lego for being the Federal Dam T-ball coach for so many years. Thanks to all the coaches and assistants that helped out with the Federal Dam Little League team from the Federal Dam parents and kids.
Sarah Welk, a Northland High School graduate and daughter of Don and Mary Welk of Remer, has been admitted to Gustavus Adolphus College.
The 6th Annual Fishing contest was held in Federal Dam on July 13th at the US Army Corps of Engineers Leech Lake Dam and Recreation. More than 250 fishermen participated. Winners were Travis Pound, Dalton Tonga, Dillon Tonga, Danny Mitchel, Jared Zahalka, Travis Thompson, Alonzo Collins, Shane Jones and John Thompson.
